In 1987, Ikarus cooperated with the Orion company to produce the articulated bus without car door, window, seats and engine. In 1999, the Irisbus of France took over the business. In 2006, Irisbus sold Ikarus to Muszertchnika, and Ikarus sold this eighteen meters compressed natural gas articulated bus to Colombia. These buses run on the capital Bogota BRT.

Later on, this kind of Ikarus bus was changed into the gas bus in the market. In 11th , December, this company did not produce this kind of Ikarus bus any more. Up until 2010, Ikarus V 187 bus appeared in the market.
