According to the Record Japan Website, the Japanese Spec-Computer Inc. has launched one type of remote control helicopters toy named Cobra U809A, which can be controlled by iphone and other Apple products. The price of this toy is about 9800 yen.

This kind of toy is the second product manufactured by Spec-Computer Corporation, following the first iphone remote control car Car iW50. Cobra U809A is the simulation gunship of the U.S. AH-1 Cobra and equipped with two missiles which can be launched.

It is very simple to operate. Apple users just download and install remote control software named udirc from App Store, which is free. Then put the signal transmitter at Apple Dock interface. User can operate remote control helicopter via touch screen. As for accessories, a lithium-ion battery is available and a USB data line is offered. It takes 45 minutes to get full power and the farthest remote control distance is about 15 meters.
